Plaintiff was entitled to these benefits based on his employment as an automobile salesperson with John Bleakley Ford, Inc. This lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court Northern District of Georgia Atlanta Division.

Accenture Employee Forced to File Suit After Aetna Offsets her Workers' Comp Benefits

An Illinois disability attorney and his client, Joan W. filed a lawsuit against Aetna Life Insurance Company on October 27, 2011 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division for the insurer's unlawful actions in regards to the claimant employee's disability benefits calculations.

Joan W., a 49-year-old Illinois woman, worked for Accenture as a senior project manager until March 8, 2002. In 2002, Joan W. ceased working due to sustaining a closed head injury when she was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Her closed head injury causes Joan W. to suffer from "chronic seizure disorder, cervical fractures with fusion of C2 through C5 with associated radiculopathy and traumatic brain injury."

Sun Life Denies Long-Term Disability Benefits, Graphic Artist Files Suit

A Nevada disability attorney recently filed a federal lawsuit in Nevada against Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (Sun Life) to recover long-term disability benefits. The Plaintiff, Nancy H., worked as a graphic artist and was covered by a group long-term disability insurance policy issued by Sun Life to Plaintiff's employer, Clark County School District (Clark County) to provide long-term disability income benefit payments.

Doctor Sues Provident Life For Denial Of Long-Term Disability Benefits

An Alabama disability attorney recently filed a federal lawsuit against the Provident Life And Accident Insurance Company. The Plaintiff worked as a self-employed board-certified physician of internal medicine for over 30 years in Birmingham, Alabama. Plaintiff had previously purchased two long-term disability insurance policies from Provident.

The Plaintiff filed a disability lawsuit to recover over $75,000 wrongly held by Provident according to the terms of a disability insurance policies purchased from Provident by the Plaintiff.

MetLife won't pay disability insurance benefits to former MetLife agency director

Having to live with chronic pain as result of a work related injury can, at best, make life difficult for a person. Living with chronic pain that renders a person completely and totally disabled along with the added emotional and mental stress of trying to make a claim for short-term and long-term disability benefits can be a nightmare. Such is the case with JoAnn Alexander, a former Met life agency director, whom became disabled on August 31, 2006 due to chronic shoulder pain as result of spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and cervical radiculopathy. Ms. Alexander terminated her employment with MetLife on March 22, 2007. Shortly thereafter, she applied for short-term disability benefits in accordance with the plan she had while she was working for MetLife.
